St Nicholas

Last night I told the story of St Nicholas. The girls left out some shoes and this morning woke to find nuts, apple, cherries and a little chocolate suprise.

Welcome Princess

The morning Amelia was born Phoebe woke singing this song.

In heaven shines a golden star,
An angel led me from afar,
From Heaven high under to earth,
and brought me to my house of birth.

Welcome, welcome lovely day
With flowers bright and sunshine gay,
With painted birds that sing their song
And make me kind and good and strong.

It was so sweet, we all awoke with excitment knowing that she would soon be here. When we got up we went into the garden picked some flowers and lit a candle, as I lit the candle Phoebe said, "dear God and Mother Mary please bring the little angel safely down from heaven"

Well Amelia arrived safely and I have my first peak of her with her proud brothers Dominic and Oliver and as soon as I get more pictures I will post them too.

Welcome To The Family

Yesterday December 4th, my brother and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Amelia Jane was born at 9am weighing 8pounds 3ounces and a little shorty at 47cm long. We are all thrilled especially as Natalie and Simon were tricky enough to make a girl after 2 boys. Dominic and Oliver think their sister is very cute and have introduced her to brother kisses and love. What a lucky girl!
I will post pictures as soon as we can, until then YAY another beautiful baby safely into the world.
Welcome to the family little Amelia Jane!

Classic

Phoebe cracked me up yesterday and I though I would share it!
We were driving home yesterday afternoon and Phoebe was saying how hungry she was. I was saying it's ok dinner is in the oven we can eat as soon as we get home.
Her hilarious reply was, "well, I'll just have to eat the car, and then WALK home.
She was very unimpressed and if I could put the tone in here I would, I laughed so hard all the way home.

And So It Begins

So in 2 days time the offical christmas season begins.
We begin with advent and the journey that takes us to christmas. Our seasonal table becomes the journey of Mary and Joseph, I have a beautiful story about Mary receiving gifts from the sun, moon and the stars and then she goes to the four kingdoms to help make the threads into a coat for baby Jesus. It's the sweetest story and this year I made and Advent Calendar to match the story, and in the calendar are gifts that we can add to the table until in the last window a little tiny baby Jesus that I made arrives.
Every now and then I will share a few pictures of where we are up to and if I think of it I will post the story as well, like I said it is so sweet!

Midnight Antics And Mummy Bliss

Last night I was up late making an advent calender for the girls, a storm came over and I hear, pitter patter pitter patter of little feet upstairs,I could tell by the bouncy step it was Miss Coco, so I called out to her to come down and we sat together for a little while having a snuggle.
Next minute Miss Phoebe comes downstairs and before you know it quiet midnight snuggles turned into energetic midnight giggles!
It was one of those moments in mummy land that I just love, pure joy in a moment you least expect it. 12AM!!!
So I pulled out the camera and got some cute pictures. After, we all went to bed and watched the amazing light show through the window.
I really love and appreciate moments like these, the moments I know that I will remember forever!

Meet Claire Bear and Rosie Pose

Rosie and Claire

Those of you who know us will know that the girls have a very special relationship with their dolls. Phoebe has Claire and Coco has Rosie, they mother them from the very first moment they wake up, dressing them feeding them, rocking them, they never, no matter what fall out of the role of mothering. Even when Phoebe is a pre-school and Claire is at home with me, I have to change her outfit and move her, otherwise Phoebe gives me a hard time saying that Claire must be so sad to have not been 'looked after' all day. Lately the girls have taken to wearing the babies in slings, it is so cute to see them playing other games all the while their baby is attached firmly to their chest, its so sweet to hear them talking and playing never forgetting their babies.
Enjoy the pictures, the bottom ones of of the girls with a gift for our special friend Daniel who turned 30 last week...

Who Lost Their Marbles??

The other day at school they told the children a story about Boy Thunder and Girl Thunder dropping their marbles on the floor and thats how we get thunder. Cute story and great for children who are scared by the sound.
Yesterday we had a huge thunder storm come over and the girls started to get scared so we sat down and I told the story of Boy Thunder and Girl Thunder and all was well. Shortly after this it started to pelt hail, the noise was so intense and the visual was incredible.
We all stood at the back door and Phoebe looked at me all concerned and said, "I think Boy Thunder and Girl Thunder are throwing their marbles down at us"
So cute so very very cute. After the storm past we took great pleasure in picking them all up and eating yummy scrummy hail!!!

Coco's Little Slice Of Heaven

Coco and I have 2 days together while Miss Phoebe is at pre-school,until now I have been working one day and running around the other spare day so, the last 2 weeks it has been a pleasure being with her for 2 whole days.(I no longer work on Tuesdays). We play and enjoy just pottering on these days, but today we cooked... most people with siblings would know how wonderful it is to have THE WHOLE bowl licking to yourself. I couldn't even make her look up!!! She enjoyed it so much, her own slice of heaven in a big silver bowl!!!

Spaghetti Circus

Last night was a funny night in our house. We had spaghetti for the first time in a long time and we were all in hysterics! Its funny how dinner goes in mummy land, sometimes it takes all your energy to make it to the table in one piece and other nights its pure enjoyment. Last night was one of the best nights I have had at the dinner table, there was fun to be had by all, it was so nice to have giggles resounding through the house. Pure JOY!!!
